Doctor Saleshando is a Motswana with deep roots scattered all over Botswana, from his early childhood in Lobatse and Mmathethe, to primary schooling in Selibe Phikwe and secondary schooling in Francistown. He then did Pre Entry Science Course and Part 1 Bachelor of Science at the University of Botswana. From there he did medical training at the prestigious University College of Dublin in Ireland graduating in 2001 with an MB, BCh, BaO degree. He then specialized as a physician still in Ireland where he became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in Ireland. He worked as a physician in Princess Marina hospital and later joined the private sector in Gaborone. He would later returned to school again to sub specialize in kidney diseases (nephrology) at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.
Dr. Saleshando pioneered the development of advanced kidney treatments such as hemodialysis in both in the public sector (Princess Marina hospital) and in the private sector (Bokamoso Private Hospital). He went on to take the services to the north [Riverside Kidney Dialysis Center in Francistown)
Dr Saleshando is proud to bring world class skills and standards for the benefit of Batswana. He remains a leading nephrologist in the region, with vast experience in the various aspects of nephrology including:

5. polycystic kidney disease

7. hypertensive nephropathy

He also has vast experience and competence in interventional nephrology procedures including
1. temporary hemodialysis catheter insertion
2. permanent hemodialysis catheter insertion
3. Peritoneal dialysis Tenchkoff catheter insertion
4. kidney biopsy
5. central line insertions.
Dr Saleshando is also an astute intrapreneur and business manager. He recently led his team at RCI to complete the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Seed Transformation Program. He looks forward to taking renal services to distant parts of Botswana and regionally, where it has always been difficult to take such services.
Dr. Saleshando is a loving husband to Ntsebo and a proud father of two daughters, Oratile and Melodi. When not working Dr Saleshando enjoys gardening.
