Keeping Safe From Covid

The Covid 19 Pandemic continues to be a threat to the health of our patients, our staff members and our loved ones. We have put a raft of measures following international and local guidelines to ensure the safety of our patients and staff members when in our units. We have been able to continue offering our services safely despite the challenges brought about by Covid 19.

  • What we need you to do:

    · Let us know when you are unwell in any way, or if there is someone at home who has suddenly become unwell. Call __________ so that we can arrange to assess you and dialyse you in a safe environment.

    · When you come for your treatment, please keep your distance from others. Do not share food or drink while waiting to go inside. We advice you have a snack at home as you will not be allowed to have food during treatment.

    · Wear your own face mask which covers your nose and mouth. The face mask must be worn at all times as soon as you leave your home and at the dialysis unit.

    · Use hand sanitiser or wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with warm water and soap as soon as you arrive. Hand sanitiser is available at all of our entrances and across buildings so that you can clean your hands more frequently.

    · Let us know if you have any symptoms when you arrive.

    · Always get your temperature checked as soon as you arrive.

    · Please come alone to your treatment and only bring one person to accompany you if absolutely necessary. This is to help us reduce the number of people visiting our clinics and prevent cross infections in our waiting rooms.

  • What we are doing:

    · We will take your temperature and ask you if you or anyone in your household have symptoms of coronavirus.

    · Everyone will be wearing a mask during your appointment and some staff may be wearing extra protective personal equipment such as a gown and face shield.

    · You will be given a surgical mask, which offers more protection than a cloth covering. Please ensure it covers your mouth and nose at all times.

    · We are cleaning all areas more often and with extra care. This includes clinic rooms, public areas such as washrooms and frequently touched surfaces which include check-in screens, hand rails, doors handles and lift buttons.

Things may seem very restrictive at our center during the Covid Pandemic but our top priority is ensuring you receive the very best care in a safe way. We value your cooperation in this regard.
